I am an Amsterdam-based photographer, originally from the German countryside, with a love for authentically capturing your equine, canine, and feline companions.
I see photography as a creative outlet that balances the analytical and theoretical demands of my career in mental health science. While I am hoping that my work as a behavioural researcher can help improve people's lives in the long run, I love the reactions and joy of my clients when they receive the photos after a shoot. It's something small that can make your day (and mine).
What I love most is capturing your animal companion's character as it really is: curious playful, or careful. I am especially drawn to the emotional bond between you and your animal, and those brief, honest moments that tell that story best. I mostly work with natural light and a candid approach, and aim for images that are genuine and feel timeless.
You don't need to be experienced in front of the camera. It's my job to make you feel comfortable, and I love seeing my clients' self-esteem grow during our session.
Occasionally, I also take on couple shoots, professional headshots, and other projects.
